TOOLROOM MANAGER

 

Founded in 1902, Fibrax has been a family owned business since 1975. The companies head office is situated in Wrexham, UK with a purpose-built manufacturing plant in Poland and manufacturing partnerships in both Turkey and Morocco. Fibrax are specialists in Polymer Injection Moulding, mainly working in thermosets (rubber) for the automotive industry.

 

We are actively seeking to appoint an experienced Toolroom Manager who will be responsible for the manufacture and maintenance of mould tools and ancillary equipment on site.

 

Key tasks for the role & desirable characteristics:

  • Actively manage new tool manufacture; including specification, design, development, validation and introduction in accordance with engineering specifications and project timing requirements.
  • Financial control of day to day toolroom activities.
  • Manage the ongoing tooling routine maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Contribute with component design.
  • Contribute to component / project commercial estimations.
  • Control sub-contractor activities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Liase with and co-ordinate sub suppliers.
  • Have a progressive mindset and able to actively contribute towards continuous improvements within the department and the company.
  • Must be able to operate and lead both as part of a team and individually
  • Flexibility and the willingness to support the team must be of the highest priority
  • Trustworthy, honest, reliable, approachable, professional

 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level would be preferential
  • Proven industry experience of rubber and / or plastic tool making.
  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD / CAM software
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PPoint MS Project etc)
  • Able to manage multiple Projects at once.
  • Able to manage personnel and prioritise workload.
  • Able to self-manage and prioritise workload.
  • Full valid driving licence.
  • Excellent communication skills

 

This is a full-time (Mon – Thurs 8am – 5pm, Fri 8am – 1pm), permanent role working as an integral member of the leadership team reporting directly to the Technical Sales Director.

Warehouse operator

Due to the recent growth and expansion of the business, we now have an exciting opportunity in our Logistics’ department for 2 experienced Warehouse Operators to join our team.

 

 

Key tasks for the role & desirable characteristics:

  • Maintaining strong, positive working relationships
  • Manage and co-ordinate a workload both as part of a team and individually
  • Must be able to think practically, follow procedures and operate under own initiative
  • Flexibility and the willingness to support the team and company by working additional hours where required
  • Have a progressive mindset and able to positively contribute towards the site’s continuous improvement initiatives
  • Trustworthy, honest, reliable

 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Warehousing role would be advantageous
  • Strong computer literacy and operational understanding
  •  Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Fork Lift Truck experience would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

 

This is a full-time (Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-1pm), permanent role working as an integral part of a team reporting to the Logistics’ Supervisor.

 

In return, the role offers a starting hourly rate of £8.52 plus benefits.
