2D/3D DESIGN SERVICES

 

WE CONCEPTUALISE AND ENGINEER BETTER SOLUTIONS FOR LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE.

We utilise the latest CAD and CAM software for both 2D draughting and 3D modelling. Our multi-lingual team of design engineers can develop innovative solutions for any application, re-engineer improvements to existing components and assist with complex technical specifications.

To validate our designs and predict exactly how the polymer will behave during processing, our design team can test the entire manufacturing process using mould flow design simulation technology. Using this analytical design tool, we have the ability to test the effects of the feed-gate position, improve the flow of the polymer and eliminate warpage. By simulating the entire process pre-manufacture, we save time and money, whilst reducing unnecessary waste.

As well as components, we offer a tool design service, which rapidly speeds up the production process. We also provide tool storage for the service life of the project.

RAPID PROTOTYPING

At Fibrax, we believe prototyping is an essential part of the design process. By combining our design and manufacturing capabilities with latest technology, we provide a highly effective and rapid prototyping service to suit a variety of needs. Prototyping enables you to eliminate potential risks whilst speeding up the entire manufacturing and implementation process.

Single cavity mould tooling enables us to produce a full-scale, functional and fully representational form of your proposed application. These moulds are produced to an extremely high standard and, in some cases, can actually be used as a cost-effective way to manufacture low quantity components.

As well as single cavity mould tooling, we utilise the very latest 3D printing technology in-house. The level of detail achieved in 3D printing is outstanding and enables you to visualise how your component might work.

Whether you want to test your end application in situ or create a bespoke tool for a specific application, prototyping allows you to move ahead quickly. Issues can be identified and corrected, and alternative designs can be easily compared for quality and functionality.

TESTING & VALIDATION

 

OUR PURPOSE-BUILT TESTING HOUSES OFFER A HIGHLY CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT FOR RELIABLE VALIDATION AND TESTING PROCEDURES.

We operate robust validating and testing systems to ensure the properties and parameters of components meet the necessary specifications. Our in-house engineers have developed a vast number of testing facilities to validate the fit, form and functionality of our designs.

We can carry out a series of tests to ensure your component it fit for purpose and meets all relevant regulatory, commercial and quality standards. Our testing facilities include but are not limited to:
