    Founded in 1911, Fibrax has been a family owned business since 1975. The companies head office is situated in Wrexham, UK with purpose-built manufacturing plants in Poland and Morocco. Fibrax are specialists in Polymer Injection Moulding, mainly working in the automotive industry.

     

    We now have an exciting opportunity in our Sales department for a Key Accounts Support to join our team.

     

    As a Key Accounts Support, your challenge, will be to provide support to the sales team who identify and build new business while meticulously managing their existing customer accounts.

     

    Key responsibilities for the role:

    • Initially, this role would support the Key Account Managers in their work and would include participation in cross functional reviews and other meetings, preparation of new part costings, quotations, customer cost breakdowns and other customer specific documentation as needed.
    • The candidate would have the opportunity to learn about account management.
    • Responsibilities would include relationship management, preparation of new part costings or carry over part quotes as needed and management of price lists in cooperation with the Sales Administrator.
    • Preparing data and presentations for customer meetings and participation in the meetings as required.
    • Development and preparation of monthly sales reports to facilitate the analysis of sales (and margin) development and trends, focussing specifically on strategic customers, regions and product groups.
    • Preparation of other sales analyses to support the Sales and Senior Management teams as required.
    • Support of market data gathering activities, including the development and maintenance of a market survey, collating key data around our customers, their markets, supplier and our competitors’ market share.
    • Participation in cross functional strategic projects and other improvement initiatives as required.
    • Attending the company at trade shows / industry events as and when required.

     

    The successful applicant will hold a recent Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or have 2-3 years knowledge/experience and looking to pursue the next stage in their career development within an international sales setting.

     

    Skills & Experience:

    • An analytical and enquiring mindset.
    • The ability to work with and manipulate large amounts of data to produce meaningful analyses.
    • A confident communicator who is able to build effective working relationships at all levels of organisation.
    • A willingness to develop a basic technical skillset.
    • An advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    • A willingness to travel Nationally and Internationally from time to time.
    • A good level of competency in a second language would be desirable, particularly French, German or Polish.
    • Working knowledge of SAP would be desirable
    • An understanding of Lean methodologies would be desirable
    • Working knowledge of Teams, Skype and other communication media.
    • An interest in, or experience of, the Automotive industry
    • Full clean UK driving licence

     

    Salary: up to £23K dependent upon skills and experience.

  • Stores Person

    A days-based store person is required to work in a busy, fast paced stores environment. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. While prior experience in this role is preferred, full training will be provided.

     

    Key tasks for the role include:

    • Stock management
    • Periodic stock takes
    • Ensuring Safe Working Practices.
    • Housekeeping.
    • Warehouse security.
    • To work with all members of production & compliance to form an effective team.
    • To communicate with those working within the stores to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
    • To assist with programmes intended to resolve issues, improve quality or otherwise improve the operations of the company.
    • To ensure that your work area is maintained in a tidy condition in accordance with 6S principles.
    • To undertake such other work required by the undertakings of the company as required from time to time.

     

    Essential skills:

    • Accuracy, a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach.
    • Good spoken and written English.
    • Good mathematical skills.
    • The ability to work well as part of a team.

     

    The Ideal Candidate Will Also:

    • Have prior experience of warehousing / stores.
    • Have prior experience of working under quality systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949 or similar.

  • TOOL CHANGER/SETTER

    Working a two-shift system (8 hours mornings/afternoons), changing tooling on rubber and plastic moulding machines.

    While prior experience in this role is preferred, full training will be provided.

     

    Key tasks for the role include:

    • Installation of rubber and plastics mould tools.
    • Preparation of moulding tools prior to installation, including cleaning and date coding.
    • Working with other members of the production department to form an effective production team.
    • Liaising with the tool room to schedule repairs to damaged tooling.
    • Start-up of the moulding press after tooling installation where required.
    • Maintaining the Tool changers’ work area in accordance with 6S principles.
    • Assisting in improvement initiatives in all areas of the company as part of cross-functional teams.
    • Other work (not related to tool changing but required by the undertakings of the company) as required from time to time.

     

    Essential skills:

    • A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach.
    • Good spoken and written English.
    • Reasonable mathematical skills.
    • The ability to work well as part of a team.

     

    The ideal candidate will also:

    • Have prior experience of tool changing injection moulding machines or mechanical engineering.
    • Have prior experience of working under quality systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949 or similar.

  • APPRENTICE PROCESS ENGINEER

    Aim:

    To learn the art of polymer injection moulding and become proficient in designing and creating robust processes for the manufacture of high quality polymeric parts.

     

    Essential Requirements:

    • GCSE grade C in Maths, Physics or Chemistry
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
    • Good IT skills
    • Good communication skills
    • Analytical thinker

     

    Development Goals:

    The candidate will be working towards becoming autonomous in the creation of injection moulding processes for new parts being developed by the organisation’s New Product Introduction team.

    They will be able to provide extensive data and in depth analysis to ensure processes are safe, stable, capable and sustainable.

    They will be knowledgable of the entire process from end to end; injection moulding, finishing and inspection of parts to be able to effectively optimise and problem solve in order to produce consistent, high quality parts.

    • Evaluating part design and the feasibility to manufacture to customer and commercial requirements.
    • Determine process variability, viable process window and correct control limits.
    • Identify failure modes in moulded parts and determine root cause of part defects and implement appropriate problem solving techniques.
    • Determine most efficient finishing and inspection methods for parts produced under process trials
    • Gather data and generate analysis reports from gathered data during process trials
    • Performing mould flow analysis on new part enquiries to determine optimal method of processing and generate costing data.
    • Assist with transfer of designed processes to Operations department by providing training to production operatives.

  • PROCESSING ENGINEER

    Purpose:
    To design and create new manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction projects

     

    Areas of responsibility:

    • Creation of injection moulding processes for new parts to be developed and validated by the New Product Introduction team. Working as part of a team,  providing data and in depth analysis to ensure processes are safe, stable, capable and sustainable.
    • Development or optimisation of existing processes to drive continuous improvement activities led by the New Product Introduction team.
    • Assistance with the review of new enquiries by providing predicted process parameters for commercial quotations.
    • Assistance with the development of non product specific techniques within their field of expertise and/or experience.

     

    Key tasks:

    • Setting up viable injection moulding processes to manufacture parts to customer and commercial requirements.
    • Evaluating new injection mould tooling and feasibility to manufacture parts to customer and commercial requirements.
    • Evaluating part design and the feasibility to manufacture to customer and commercial requirements.
    • Determine process variability, viable process window and correct control limits.
    • Assist to determine root cause of part defects/failure modes and suggest appropriate problem solving techniques from a processing perspective.
    • Performing mould flow analysis on incoming enquiries to determine optimal method of processing and generate costing data.
    • Comparing initial mould flow analysis with actual data when new part comes to manufacture stage.
    • Assist with analysis of data, documentation, and wash up of performed TSI’s.
    • Assist with data entry to generate departmental KPIs.
    • Assist with transfer of designed processes to Operations department by providing training to production operatives.
